01Introduction

MK Interior Design Studio ("MK", "we", "us" or "our") is based in London, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

02Information We Collect

Information you send us

When you use our Start a Project or Contact forms, we collect what you type in, which can include:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your company and role
• Project location, project type, number of units, the stages you need and your timeline
• Your preferred way to be contacted and your message

If you email, call or message us on Instagram or Facebook, we also receive the details you share there.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when the site is visited, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

03How We Use It

We use your information only to:

• Reply to your enquiry and arrange a call or meeting
• Prepare a proposal and deliver a project you hire us for
• Send invoices and keep the records the law requires
• Keep the website working and protect it from spam and misuse

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.

04Consent

By sending us a form or contacting us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, although we may then be unable to continue working on your enquiry or project.

05Who We Share It With

We share personal information only when needed, and only with:

• Service providers who run the tools we use, such as our website host and form service (Netlify) and our email provider. They may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
• Project partners, such as consultants or contractors on your project, when you have asked us to coordinate with them.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

06Third-Party Services

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when a page opens. Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.

07How Long We Keep It

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Project and invoicing records are kept for as long as Canadian tax and business law requires, then deleted or securely destroyed.

08How We Protect It

The website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Form submissions and emails are kept in password-protected accounts that only the studio can access. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

09Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it

Email us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, is the current one.
